1. Information We Collect

Your email address and display name when you register or sign in with Google
Your chosen username and avatar
Pacts you create, descriptions, categories, check-ins

Usage data (which features you use, how frequently you check in) — used to improve the experience
Crash reports via Firebase Crashlytics (stack traces, device OS version, app version)
Analytics events via Firebase Analytics (screen views, feature interactions) in anonymized form
Firebase installation ID used to deliver push notifications

// Information we do NOT collect:

Your precise GPS location
Your contacts or address book
Payment or financial data
Camera or microphone input
Any data from children under 13

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your account
To display your pacts, progress, XP, and badges
To enable social features such as following other users and joining pacts
To send push notifications about pact activity, check-in reminders, and nudges from friends
To analyze usage patterns and fix bugs
To enforce these policies and prevent abuse

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in these limited cases:

Firebase / Google: We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics) to operate the app. Google processes data on our behalf under their own privacy terms.
Other users: Your username, avatar, level, and public pacts are visible to other users. Your email address is never shown to other users.
Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety of users.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account exists. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 6). Anonymized analytics data may be retained by Firebase for up to 14 months per Google's standard retention policy.

5. Security

Your data is stored in Google Firebase with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure users can only access their own data. While we take reasonable precautions, no system is 100% secure.

6. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You have the right to:

// Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data from the app's Profile → Delete Account screen. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

7. Children's Privacy

Pacto is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Google Firebase — Authentication, database, messaging, analytics, crash reporting (firebase.google.com/support/privacy)
Google Sign-In — Optional social login (policies.google.com/privacy)

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notification or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Child Safety

Pacto is committed to maintaining a safe environment and has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).

We prohibit any content that sexually exploits minors
We do not allow grooming, sextortion, or trafficking of minors
We report any detected CSAE content to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant authorities

Users can report any child safety concerns directly in the app using the report feature. Reports are reviewed promptly.

By downloading, installing, or using the Pacto mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These Terms form a legal agreement between you and Ahmet Semseddin Gultekin ("Developer", "we", "us").

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pacto
If you are between 13 and 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf
By using the App, you confirm that all registration information you submit is accurate and truthful

2. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or limits

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You must NOT:

Post or create pacts that promote violence, self-harm, hatred, harassment, or illegal activity
Impersonate any person or entity
Spam, harass, or send unsolicited messages to other users
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems
Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the App
Reverse engineer or decompile any part of the App
Exploit bugs or glitches to gain unfair advantages (such as inflated XP or badges)

4. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you create in Pacto (pact titles, descriptions, etc.). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store and display that content solely for the purpose of operating the App. You represent that any content you post does not violate the rights of any third party.

5. XP, Badges, and Virtual Items

XP points, levels, badges, and avatar items have no real-world monetary value. They are not transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and may be adjusted, reset, or removed at any time at our discretion (for example, to correct abuse or bugs).

6. Social Features

Pacto allows users to follow each other and participate in shared pacts. You agree not to use these features to harass other users. You may block or report other users at any time through the App. We reserve the right to remove any content or user that violates these Terms.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms or engaged in harmful behavior. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times or error-free. We are not responsible for any loss of data, missed check-ins, or streak resets due to technical issues.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Turkey.

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notice or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
